CASSY: Optimised measuring systems for training

The CASSY measuring systems have been developed for practical training and are characterised by the following features:

  • Simple operation and maximum safety, even for beginners
  • Reproducible results in the experiments
  • Didactic networking with the learning environment

This makes the CASSY measuring systems better suited to the requirements and needs of training than industrial measuring devices developed for research laboratories and test fields.

The right CASSY for every application

Whether you need to analyse three-phase networks or control drives, the CASSY family offers the right measuring system:

  • Mobile-CASSY 2 WLAN: For low voltages below 30 V and a variety of physical sensors.
  • Sensor-CASSY 2: For voltages up to 250 V and analysing signals such as CAN or control technology.
  • Power Analyser CASSY: For analysing and measuring multi-phase networks. Can be extended with a ±10 V control unit.
  • Machine Test CASSY: For testing and analysing electrical machines and drives.
  • Converter Controller CASSY: For controlling drives with didactic frequency converters.

Simple integration into the laboratory

Every laboratory is different. This is why the CASSY systems are equipped with many interfaces to enable connections with computers or even several mobile devices. In addition to the classic USB connector, there are Ethernet (RJ45) connections and extensive WLAN support.

The CASSY systems can be used on the table or in experimental frames. The measurement connections are equipped with 4 mm safety sockets and are therefore suitable for standard experiment cables.

Versatile software solutions for measurements and analyses

Complex analyses can be carried out on the computer using the CASSY Lab 2 software. Interfaces to MATLAB™ and LabVIEW® enable more demanding project work or quick integration into existing laboratories.

Our browser-based CASSY.App Web is ideal for simple measurements and evaluations on mobile phones or tablets. Trainees can use the app to export the measurement data to Excel-compatible formats for further processing.

The Lab Docs Editor also allows you to write your own instructions.

For measurements without computer technology, all CASSYs offer a graphical display and an easy-to-use interface as well as sufficient memory for parameters and measured values.
