With our training systems, we attach great importance to safe and practical learning. They enable the realistic measurement of voltages, whereby we either use low voltage of 24 V or utilise safe measures at higher voltages without any safety risks. In addition, we allow realistic vehicle workshop scenarios with realistic exercises for cutting free with real high voltages of over 60 V, whereby the safety of the trainees is always guaranteed. Our training systems include original measuring devices and components from electric vehicles to enable authentic functional tests. They are also equipped with fault switches that enable a variety of troubleshooting tasks. For an in-depth understanding of different battery technologies, we offer interchangeable battery cells with different cell chemistries to guarantee comprehensive and practical training.


Comprehensive training in high-voltage technology

With LEYBOLD's training systems, all aspects and subject areas of high-voltage technology can be comprehensively covered in training. This includes an in-depth understanding of hybrid and electric vehicles, detailed knowledge of the individual system components and the specific high-voltage system components. In addition, the safety infrastructure and HV technology itself is covered in depth, including the infrastructure for charging stations. Our systems cover the entire process: from learning the relevant guidelines and regulations, through careful planning, to the precise execution of tests and measurements. The evaluation and diagnosis of faults ultimately lead to professional repairs. This ensures that the trainees not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills that are essential for their future work.

Practical training for electromobility

The high-voltage trainer enables trainees to master the handling of high-voltage components in hybrid and electric vehicles safely and practically. The trainer is ideal for learning how to diagnose, test and repair hybrid and high-voltage systems, regardless of brand. The training system includes functions for live measurements such as insulation, potential equalisation and voltage drop measurements and allows measured values and signals to be assessed. Training can be carried out on the high-voltage trainer in accordance with the requirements of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV). The trainees can carry out the exercises risk-free and without brand-specific special equipment. The learning objectives include repairing high-voltage systems, understanding their components and carrying out repairs safely.

HV battery trainer:Focus on high-voltage batteries

The HV battery trainer is specially designed for the training of automotive high-voltage technicians. The trainer focuses on the safe handling of high-voltage batteries, whose voltages can reach up to 800 V - a potential danger that should not be underestimated. For safe learning, the trainer transforms the high-voltage voltage into a safe voltage of up to 32 V. With interchangeable cell blocks, a variety of cell chemistries can be analysed, allowing a deep understanding of the different battery types. The training system includes features such as battery management units, main contactor with switching logic, safety line monitoring, service disconnect, battery data logging, cell temperature simulation and fault switches. The HV battery trainer optimally prepares trainees for the challenges of electromobility.
