Complete power engineering

Our educational courses cover all areas of power engineering and offer plenty of opportunity for practical experimentation.

The trainees start with energy generation in a classical power plant, where they carry out essential actions and analyse their effects. A concise example of this is the manual or fully automatic synchronisation of the generator.

Further topics are:

  • Three-phase transformers
  • Energy transmission
  • Double busbars

In experiments on essential mains protection, protective relays are used in practical hands-on training to show how lines and transformers are protected against damage. For this purpose, various types of professional protection relays are integrated into didactic panels.

Exciting smart grid scenarios

Renewable energies and modern consumers such as electric vehicles present new challenges. In didactically prepared scenarios, these challenges must be actively solved with our smart grid trainer. In this way, important practical knowledge is reinforced and built up through action-based learning.

Modular and practical setup

Our system is characterised by its modular setup. Modules for different renewable sources can be combined and modified as required. This allows you to replicate your local grid under local conditions.

Not just the modules also the set-ups can be combined to create a wide variety of experimental stands. A micro grid can be realised by combining energy generation, energy transmission and controlled loads.

The training systems are designed so that three-phase systems can be safely carried out at full voltage and still enable correct measurements.

Complex technology, simple and compact

Our space-saving STE cases offer students and trainees practical experiments on renewable energy sources, energy storage and smart grids. The experiments are carried out at a safe low voltage and are the perfect introduction to the topic.
